Project Manager, Intermediate:
Strum is looking to fill a Project Manager position. The successful candidate will have post secondary education in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or Geology.The candidate will have a minimum of four years work experience in the environmental sector, preferable from within an existing consultancy.This individual will be responsible for the ongoing design and coordination of complex environmental projects in a unique and dynamic environment.
This position will involve management of various contaminant related projects and will include coordination of staff, reporting, and client communication.
Skilled in site assessment methods, remediation supervision, and risk management application, the candidate will have in depth technical knowledge and experience in designing and coordinating all aspects of phased environmental projects.The primary focus will be working with clients to ensure that cost effective project execution is achieved.Project Managers must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to multi-task.Experience in business development would also be an asset.
Project Manager, Junior:
Strum is currently seeking a junior project manager with 1 to 3 years experience. This candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, will have a post graduate or engineering degree and will have field experience related to commercial site development, approvals and permitting, site assessment and contaminated sites. This candidate will enjoy travel, working as a team and will undertake coordination of field projects, reporting and project management. Advanced computer literacy skills are essential.
Geotechnical/Materials Technician:
Strum Environmental has an opening in our Bedford office for a Geotechnical Technician to work with our geotechnical engineering team.
The requirements for the Geotechnical technician position are: experience with a geotechnical inspection and testing firm (at least 2 years preferred), and a CET designation, or equivalent education.
The chosen candidate will exhibit excellent communicative skills and possess a strong technical background. This position requires good organizational and communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong desire to learn.
Field Coordinator:
Strum is currently looking for a full time Field Coordinator. This position involves sample collection, data compilation and interpretation, and site supervision.
The requirements for this position are: university graduate with a BSc. in earth science, geology, biology, or engineering, a valid driver's license and a vehicle.
Experience in environmental remediation, phased site assessments, and report writing would be an asset.
The position requires a motivated individual, a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate will establish clear communication with clients and staff, understand defined work scopes, complete assigned tasks on time, and organize and report on data collected.
