May ’08: Strum Annual Customer Appreciation Night - The Strum Open House was held Thursday May 15th and was again a great success and fun time. It’s always a great opportunity to have our key clients drop by in a less formal setting to enjoy a bite to eat and a casual discussion with the staff at Strum. Our staff really values the opportunity to meet the people and put a face to names that they have only chatted with in the past by phone. Over 60 clients showed up, providing a lively and festive event. Many thanks to all of you who came; it was great to see you again.

November ’07: Strum Environmental was proud to be a Silver Sponsor for the “Great Big Gig” fundraiser held at the Cunard Centre in Halifax on November 3rd, 2007. Even Hurricane Noel could not dampen the spirits as everyone enjoyed a wonderful evening in support of the IWK Hospital. June '07: We now have a new domain address on the World Wide Web as we recently acquired the domain "Strum.com". This allows us to greatly simplify our email addresses. For instance, rather than typing , you can reach us with . All staff emails have been shortened to this format as well. For instance " ". You can visit our website by typing in the URL: www.strum.com. rather than www.strumenvironmental.com.
Don't worry though, our old website address and old email addresses will continue to work as well.
May '07: Strum Celebrates the Official Opening of Railside Railside was bursting with music, laughter and people on the evening of May 17 as we celebrated our first year at our new location. Over 70 friends turned out to participate in our ceremonial grand opening, including some prominent Bedford residents. The Honourable Len Goucher, MLA Bedford, officially opened Railside by presiding over the ribbon cutting ceremony while Mayor Peter Kelly presented Strum with a framed pewter miniature of City Hall. Following the formalities, guests stayed well into the evening to enjoy the fine food, live entertainment and comfortable atmosphere of Railside.

February '07: Strum named Metro Halifax Business Silver Award Winner
The results are in and we are thrilled to receive the Silver Award in the Small Business of the Year category.The award was presented by the Halifax Chamber of Commerce in a ceremony held February 8 in Halifax.Strum's recognition was in part due to our landmark year of growth, which included a move to our new building, the launch of our geotechnical division and staff increase of 35 percent.

March '06: Strum Environmental moved! The past few months have been very busy at Strum Environmental as we purchased our own building and have been busy settling into our new location. The building is located at 1355 Bedford Highway on the former CN Rail property. We are very excited about our new 'home'.
